Skinner Optics Red Dot SKO-121-RDO and Mounts
Description
Introducing our Skinner Optics RED DOT OPTIC 1X21 W/ 2 MOA DOT
I've waited a long time to bring in a Dot Optic. This one has everything I wanted in a dot. It's simple, rugged, with ENCLOSED EMITTER, positive CLICK adjustments that track like a conventional scope.
- Enclosed emitter keeps leaves, dirt, moisture out of the optic.
- 2 MOA LIT DOT. Easy to see yet doesn't cover too much of your target.
- Positive, repeatable click adjustments. no "guessing" as you adjust
- Lenses are fully coated, and scope is nitrogen filled.
- Light Weight @ 3.8 oz
- Acro® style mounting for LOW to the receiver/cheek weld/line of sight.
- Picatinny Riser included for use on Modern Sporting Rifle / AR type platforms
SPECIAL PACKAGE OPTION: "All you need in one package"
These are our current offerings with more to come.
The 8-40 .500” C-C precision machined STEEL LOW mount will work with all the below makes and models.
This mount is low enough to see over for Iron sight use with the optic removed. Only .150" thick, mounts the sight as low as possible on the receiver.
- Marlin 1894
- Marlin 1895
- Marlin 336
- Henry Big Boy Steel + AW
- Henry Large Frame Levers

Note From Andy:
"These were my primary goals: I have never been a fan of open-faced holographic type dot sights. Where I live and hunt, a "glop" of snow or a wet willow leaf can block the emitter and render an open optic useless when you most need it.
With the enclosed/sealed frame of the Skinner RDO moisture and contaminants can be easily wiped off as needed.
I wanted repeatable and secure adjustments that had definite "clicks" so there was no "will it or won't it" during adjustment.
I wanted a bright adjustable dot that was big enough to see but small enough to not cover the target.
I wanted a mounting system that kept the sight low enough to work with a standard cheek weld on guns designed for Iron Sight use.
I wanted a common battery (CR-2032) that could be replaced without removing the sight, AND...
I wanted all this at a mid-range price point affordable to all. This Skinner RDO has all that and more.
I've been range/field testing this for several months and love it. It has worked well on Lever guns, pumps, and semis. Also performs very well on the AR MSR platforms! It will be excellent on Shotguns as well for the Turkey or Deer woods.
Currently, I'm running this on a new Marlin (by Ruger®) 336 30-30 and it is stellar. Groups are in the 1 moa range at 50 yards, holding 1 1/2" at 100.
Warranty:
We warranty this optic against defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years. We will repair or replace at our discretion. 30-day money back on unused (never mounted or damaged) scopes still in the orig. intact and resaleable packaging. Damaged or lost packaging may incur a restocking fee.
