Description

SKINNER SIGHTS 5 1/2" BULL BARREL RUGER AUTO OPTIC RAIL

Ruger's Semi Auto 22 Pistols are wildly popular, very accurate, and reliable.

Fits the MK III / IV  5 1/2” BULL BARREL Models with factory drilled and tapped receivers.  Can be easily retrofit to the MK I and MK II models by any competent gunsmith.

If you want to mount a Red Dot (RDO) or a long eye relief (LER) scope on a Ruger 5 1/2" 22 Auto, we have just what you need.

This is a low, perfect fitting rail for this pistol.

No gunsmithing required for MK III / IV models.  Simply remove the factory front sight and screw our rail in place.  Installation could not be easier.  No modifications to the gun itself.  Our rail uses the factory screw holes for mounting.  Screws and wrenches provided.

Available in Black only at this time.

(Since this rail incorporates an integral front sight, "silver" would not be a suitable choice for a sight picture.)

Rail is standard Weaver or Picatinny style and accepts mounts and rings designed as such.

Machined from solid aluminum Bar-stock (to save weight) then anodized to a deep black durable finish.

(Optic not included.  For illustration purposes only)

NOTE FROM ANDY

"When I was 16 years old my parents gave me a Ruger MK I  5 1/2" Target Auto for my 16th Birthday.  It was marked "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" on top.  For 50 years it has been a constant companion on the range and in the field.  Its durable, accurate, and more reliable than any other 22 semi auto I've ever owned.

With it I learned to handgun hunt small game and engage in both formal precision Competition Bullseye and informal target shooting.  It also serves as a high grade "plinker" providing countless hours of fun bouncing cans, and other targets of opportunity, down range.

I started shooting formal bullseye competitions in my 30's.  My MK I took me to Sharpshooter classification (bypassing the Marksman level) and on to Expert.  As an active competitor and gunsmith, I blended the two together building and improving the Ruger Autos into serious tools on the line.   This passion fueled my progress to winning the National Indoor Sectionals in 1998 and achieving High Master classification.   I made a stab at qualifying for the 2000 Olympic Team but didn't quite make it to the final selection.  It was an honor to try.

What I learned from this and over 50 years of handgun hunting and bullseye handgun competition is represented in the mounts we build today.  The Ruger Auto with an optic makes a great small game hunter, plinker, and informal target pistol!"
