"The model 700 rifles, and variants like the 721/722 have been favorites of shooters around the world for decades.  I grew up using my father's 721's in 30-06 and 300 H&H.  We used them for Deer, Antelope, Bear and Elk.  Adding a peep sight to one of these timeless rifles gives us a light, svelte package that really works in the field.  My 722 in 300 Savage with a peep has been a dandy deer rifle making longer shots possible.
